John serves as a global investment analyst covering the emerging markets and the telecommunication, utilities and energy sectors. He is a member of the Domestic, MLP and International investment committees. His responsibilities also include portfolio management and client service. Prior to founding Eagle, John was employed by Eagle Management & Trust Company, which was acquired by Boatmen’s Trust Company and then NationsBank. Prior to Boatmen’s, John served as director of research for Continental Intervest. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas and a MBA from Rice University. John holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a member of the CFA Institute and is a former President and a current member of the Board of the CFA Society of Houston. John is a native of Colombia and is fluent in Spanish.
